Disease Outbreak Prediction System (DOPS) is an intelligent system to predict disease outbreak week in advance. The Diseases to predict include Dengue, Measles, Respiratory Infections and other seasonal outbreaks. The project takes medium scale datasets like weather data from Meteorological Department, disease outbreak data from Health Department and threshold constants values from the domain experts. Hence the data source includes real time health care data of all of districts of province Punjab.
The prediction patterns are summarized in the results, which are also published in ICDMW recently. An important part of the results is its dependence on regional influences and important demographic variables like literacy rate. For more, refer to Zaheer ud Din Babar.
