Dr. Faisal Kamran
Dr. Faisal Kamran received his PhD degree from Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands in 2011. After his doctoral studies, he joined King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) as a postdoctoral fellow. He is doing research in the well-established area of data mining. In his brief research career, he has already published over 20- refereed papers in various prestigious journals and conferences. His publication list includes four ICDM papers (A* data mining venue), one ECML/PKDD and two KAIS journal papers. His current research interests include constraint based classification, social media analysis, bias-aware data mining, recommender systems, privacy preserving data mining and data mining for good governance.
According to Google scholar, Dr. Faisal Kamran’s H-index is 8 and his research work has more than 200 citations. His PhD research work has been well received by the international data mining research community, e.g., the research groups from Microsoft USA, Harvard University, University of Toronto, Kyoto University and University of Pisa are continuing their research over his doctoral research topic.
